(HALIFAX, N.S.) Dalhousie Tigers women's volleyball setter Courtney Baker and UNB Reds men's hockey goaltender Alex Dubeau have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Courtney Baker of the Dalhousie Tigers women’s volleyball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending March 17, 2019.
A fourth-year setter from Bridgewater, N.S., Baker helped lead the Tigers to a fourth-place finish at the 2019 U SPORTS Women’s Volleyball Championship over the weekend.
The AUS MVP was steady for the Tigers all weekend long, leading the Dalhousie offence.
She had 15 assists, 10 digs and two kills in the Tigers quarter-final win over the Montreal Carabins on Friday.
She earned player of the game honours in Saturday’s semi final match with 22 kills, 11 digs and six kills. On Sunday, she added another 28 assists, plus 12 kills and seven digs for 13.0 points in the Tigers 3-2 loss to Alberta.
Baker was named to the U SPORTS championship all-star team for her stellar play.

Alex Dubeau of the 2019 U SPORTS men’s hockey champion UNB Reds is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending March 17, 2019.
A fourth-year goaltender from Mascouche, Que., Dubeau backstopped UNB’s three wins as the Reds captured the 2019 University Cup, in Lethbridge, Alta. this weekend.
He faced a total of 77 shots in the three wins, stopping 73 of them. Dubeau finished the tournament with a 1.33 goals against average and a .948 save percentage, earning national championship Most Valuable Player honours.
