AUS Women's Volleyball Weekly Round Up: Week 4

Friday, Jan. 12

Memorial 0 vs. Saint Mary's 3 (Box Score)
(HALIFAX, N.S.) Saint Mary's University defeated the visiting Memorial University Sea-Hawks in three sets on Friday night in Atlantic university sport volleyball action from the Homburg Centre. The Huskies swept the three matches with scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-19 in the win and the Huskies held a slim 32-28 kill advantage in the match. Lindsay Donovan paced Saint Mary's and all hitters with nine kills while teammates Erin Smith and Maddie Clarke each had seven. UNB 1 vs. Acadia 3 (Box Score)
(WOLFVILLE, N.S.) The Acadia Axewomen continue their winning streak, now four in a row, after a 3-1 victory over the visiting UNB Varsity Reds on Friday. Subway Player of the Game, Hannah Helm delivered four timely kills and played a huge role defensively with three block assists and two block solos. Read more: Recap   

Dalhousie 3 vs. Moncton 0 (Box Score)
(MONCTON, N.B.) The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues were no match for the Dalhousie University Tigers as they lost 3-0 on Friday at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium. The Tigers won 25-17, 25-12 and 25-8. Dalhousie's Victoria Haworth, chosen Subway player of the game, had 15 kills of 16 attacks for the winners. Read more: Recap 


Saturday, Jan. 13
UNB 0 vs. Acadia 3 (Box Score)
(WOLFVILLE, N.S.) Senior outside hitter Sarah Ross led the Acadia Axewomen in a 3-0 sweep of the visiting UNB Varsity Reds in the second of a two-game weekend series. Ross posted a match-high 12 kills in Acadia's 25-22, 25-13 and 25-20 set wins. Read more: Recap

Memorial 0 vs. Saint Mary's 3 (Box Score)
(HALIFAX, N.S.) The Saint Mary's University women's volleyball team swept the visiting Memorial University Sea-Hawks 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-12) on Saturday night from the Homburg Centre. Erin Smith paced the Huskies with eight kills as Saint Mary's finished with 34 kills in the win. Emma Hackett added eight kills for the Memorial offence, who finished with 25 kills in the loss. Read more: Recap

(HALIFAX, N.S.) The Saint Mary's Huskies defeated the Memorial University Sea-Hawks on Sunday afternoon 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-17) in Atlantic university sport women's volleyball action from the Homburg Centre. Erin Smith and Maddie Clarke  each recorded double-digit kills in the victory (13 and 12) respectively for the Huskies. Kierstin Fey paced the Sea-Hawks with eight kills and 15 digs while Jordan Hutchison had seven and Sarah Dawe added six in the loss. Read more: Recap 

Moncton 0 vs. Dalhousie 3 (Box Score)
(HALIFAX, N.S.) The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Université de Moncton in straight sets Sunday afternoon at Dalplex. Mieke DuMont and Julie Moore had nine kills apiece for the Tigers, while Pascale Doiron led the way for Moncton with five kills and 11 digs. Read more: Recap
