With a 2-0 victory over the Acadia Axewomen on Friday evening, the Cape Breton Capers finished their season with a victory to be tied atop the AUS women's soccer standings with the Axewomen with 31 points apiece. Both teams now earn a first round bye at the 2018 Subway AUS Women's Soccer Championship.
The Memorial Sea-Hawks and StFX X-Women split their weekend series, with the Memorial shutting out StFX 1-0 on Friday, and the X-Women bouncing back to a 3-0 victory on Saturday as both teams clinched playoff berths.
The UNB Reds and Mount Allison Mounties played to a 1-1 draw on Friday, as both teams fall short of a playoff position.
The UPEI Panthers earned a 3-1 win at home over the Saint Mary's Huskies on Friday evening, but just miss a playoff position, while the Huskies earned themselves a spot with a fifth place finish in the standings.
In Saturday's action, the Dalhousie Tigers finished off their season in third place in the standings with a 3-0 win over the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues.
With the regular season now complete, the Capers, Axewomen, Tigers, X-Women, Huskies, and Sea-Hawks are now headed to the 2018 Subway AUS Women's Soccer Championship.
The Championship will be hosted by Cape Breton University at CBU Field in Sydney, N.S from November 1-4.
