Friday, September 18

StFX 5 at UPEI 1 (Box Score)

The UPEI Panthers held their home opener against the StFX X-Women on Friday evening in Charlottetown. The X-Women cruised to a 5-1 win, netting four goals in the first half and adding a fifth in the second half.

Acadia 2 at Mount Allison 1 (Box Score)

The Mount Allison Mounties home opener was held on Friday evening against the Acadia Axewomen. After fourth-year striker Amanda Volcko opened the scoring for the Mounties in the first half, fourth-year Axewomen midfield Michelle Pryde put Acadia on the board to start the second half. The game winner was netted by last week's CIS athlete of the week Meghan Earle as the Axewomen claimed the 2-1 victory to remain undefeated so far this season (3-0-0).

Saturday, September 19

Dalhousie 0 at UNB 0 (Box Score)

The Dalhousie Tigers visited the UNB Varsity Reds in Fredericton for their home opener on Saturday afternoon. The two teams battled to a scoreless draw.

Saint Mary's 2 at Moncton 1 (Box Score)

The Moncton Aigles Bleues faced the Saint Mary's Huskies during their home opener on Saturday afternoon. Third-year striker Alexandra Maltais put the home team on the board just 3:30 into the match, but fourth-year Huskies midfielder Jolene MacIntyre tied things up before the end of the half. Third-year defender Celina Cavadini netted the game winner for the Huskies in the second half.

Cape Breton 8 at UPEI 0 (Box Score)

The Panthers hosted the Capers in the second of two weekend home games on Saturday. Cape Breton cruised to an 8-0 victory over UPEI. Second-year striker Keona Simmonds led the way with three goals, while reigning AUS MVP and CIS first team all-Canadian Karolyne Blain notched another two. Tamara Brown, Lauren Pasher and Ciera Disipio pitched in with one goal apiece.

Sunday, September 20

Dalhousie 4 at Moncton 0 (Box Score)

The Moncton Aigles Bleues hosted the Dalhousie Tigers on Sunday afternoon for their first and only meeting of the season. Fifth-year Tigers defender Kristy McGregor-Bales led the way with two goals. Scarlett Smith and Victoria Parkinson chipped in with one apiece.

Cape Breton 3 at Mount Allison 0 (Box Score)

The Mount Allison Mounties hosted the Cape Breton Capers on Sunday afternoon. The Mounties fell 3-0 to the Capers as second-year striker Keona Simmonds led the way with two goals and freshman midfielder Jill MacDonald added a third.

Saint Mary's 0 at UNB 4 (Box Score)

The UNB Varsity Reds hosted their second game this weekend, facing the Saint Mary's Huskies on Sunday afternoon. Fourth-year Varsity Reds fullback Laura McNicholas opened the scoring in the first half. Lucy Parkin, Laura Cubbon and Paige Vincent added a goal each to UNB's tally to claim the 4-0 victory.
