(VICTORIA, B.C.) Nine different Laval student-athletes scored tries during the Rouge et Or’s decisive 68-0 victory over the Acadia Axewomen on November 2 in their quarterfinal game at the 2022 U SPORTS Women’s Rugby Championship on Wednesday.
Laval’s Marie-Pier Fauteux, Laura Guay, and Rosalie Charbonneau each scored two tries to lead the Rouge et Or, while Audrey Champagne tallied three converts in the win. Laval recorded their sixth shutout of the season.
With the win, Laval advances to play the winner of UBC and Guelph on Friday, November 4 at 5 p.m. PT at Centennial Stadium, while Acadia takes on the loser of UBC/Guelph in the consolation semifinal Friday at 1 p.m. PT at Wallace Field.
