The StFX X-Women remain at the top of the AUS women's hockey standings after earning a weekend sweep. The X-Women handed the Saint Mary's Huskies their first loss of the season on Thursday night, when a goal from StFX's Santana Gravelle with just five seconds remaining in regulation allowed the X-Women to earn the 3-2 victory.
The X-Women then hosted the UNB Reds in Antigonish on Saturday night, earning a convincing 6-0 win.
After losing the first game of the season, the UPEI Panthers have now extended their winning streak to three after handing the Dalhousie Tigers a 5-1 victory on Friday, and topping the Mount Allison Mounties 5-2 on Saturday.
The St Thomas University Tommies split their weekend games, earning a 5-2 victory in their home opener versus the Tigers on Saturday, but fell 3-2 to the Mounties on Sunday afternoon.
The Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues earned an overtime victory over the Reds on Saturday evening as a goal by forward Katryne Villeneuve at 1:02 of overtime lifted the Aigles Bleues to a 2-1 victory.
The Huskies visited the Aigles Bleues in Moncton on Sunday afternoon, shutting out the Aigles Bleues 4-0.
