(FREDERICTON, N.B.) - The St. Thomas Tommies grabbed their fourth win of the season Sunday afternoon, defeating the Dalhousie Tigers 3-2 in front of 203 fans at the Grant-Harvey Centre.

Myfanwy Thomson had two points for the Tommies, while Sarah Robichaud and Lisa MacLean each had two for the Tigers.

"The way we finished today is what we needed yesterday and last weekend against St. Mary's and X," Tommies head coach Peter Murphy said after the game. "It's good to see they have it in them and now it's about moving forward."

Myfanwy Thomson put the Tommies on the board with a power play goal at 8:13. The Tommies extended their lead three minutes later when Kenya Marcelline scored five-hole off a dish from Marina Sergina.

The Tigers had a golden opportunity late in the period with two Tommies in the penalty box, but they couldn't beat St. Thomas netminder Abby Clarke. The Tommies led 2-0 after 20 minutes.

The Tigers eventually found the back of the net in the second with Sarah Robichaud beating Clarke low on the power play for the Tigers first goal of the game.

Elizabeth MacArthur followed suit, scoring on the next power play with a shot from the slot to tie the game 2-2.

"The two of us have the top two power plays in the league, so it's tough if we go in the box against them because we know that's their best chance to score," Murphy said.

It was back and forth in the third until Lauren Henman beat Tigers' goaltender Jessica Severeyns on a point-blank shot from the slot for the game-winner.

The Tommies are back in action Nov. 14 when they host the St. Mary's Huskies.  The Tigers will host the St. Francis Xavier X-Women Nov. 15.
