Moncton took a 3-0 lead in the first period to dominate the game. There was no second period scoring.

"We did dominate in the first and third periods," said Moncton head coach Denis Ross. "We had a little difficulty in the first 15 minutes of the second. We are switching our focus to the Saturday game."

Saturday, the Aigles travel to Fredericton to meet the University of St. Thomas Tommies (2-0-0), at the Grant-Harvey Centre, at 2 p.m. Émilie Bouchard will be the starting goaltender.

Catherine Dumas and Maude Bellavance will miss the game because of injuries.

The Panthers will play next on Saturday, Nov. 1 when they are hosted by the Dalhousie Tigers at 2:30 p.m. at the Civic Centre in Halifax.
