Panthers extend win streak to seven with wins over Huskies

With a weekend sweep over the Saint Mary's Huskies, the UPEI Panthers have extended their win streak to seven to sit atop the AUS women's basketball standings. The Panthers played to a 69-46 victory on Friday night, followed by a 72-65 win over UPEI on Saturday, extending their record on the season to 9-1.

The Dalhousie Tigers opened the week's action as they hosted the StFX X-Women, earning the weekend sweep. Dalhousie earned a 76-58 victory on Wednesday evening, followed by a 67-50 win on Friday night.

The Cape Breton Capers also swept their games this weekend, playing to a 68-57 win over the UNB Reds in Fredericton on Friday night. The Capers then went on to top the Reds 72-63 on Saturday.

The Acadia Axewomen hosted the Memorial Sea-Hawks in Wolfville this weekend, playing to a split. The Sea-Hawks took the first game on Saturday, with a close 86-83 victory, while the Axewomen bounced back on Sunday afternoon, playing to an 89-75 win.
