Panthers hand Capers their first loss of the season

The UPEI Panthers now sit tied atop the AUS women's basketball standings after handing the Cape Breton Capers their first loss of the season.

The Panthers opened 2019 by topping the Capers 70-64 in a four-point game, extending their win streak to five.

On Friday evening, the Saint Mary's Huskies hosted the StFX X-Women, earning an 80-65 victory at home to earn their first win of the season. 

The Acadia Axewomen extended their win streak to three on Saturday as they defeated the Dalhousie Tigers 84-51 in Wolfville.

The UNB Reds earned a weekend sweep over the Memorial Sea-Hawks this weekend with a 87-79 victory on Saturday night, followed by a 77-70 win on Sunday afternoon.
