Capers remain undefeated to sit atop standings

The Cape Breton Capers earned a weekend sweep over the UNB Reds, allowing them to remain undefeated on the season to sit atop the AUS women's basketball standings. The Capers played to a close 79-74 victory on Friday night, then finished the weekend with a 78-67 win on Saturday.

The UPEI Panthers and Dalhousie Tigers also earned sweeps this weekend, with the Panthers topping the Saint Mary's Huskies, and the Tigers defeating the StFX X-Women. 

The Panthers hosted the Huskies on Friday evening, walking away with a 65-57 win, the earned a 57-53 victory on Saturday. 

Dalhousie hosted the X-Women on Wednesday in the first game of a home and home series, topping StFX 79-66, then earning a 77-55 win in Antigonish on Saturday. 

The Memorial Sea-Hawks hosted the Acadia Axewomen in St. John's this weekend, in which both teams left with a win. The Sea-Hawks topped the Axewomen 88-74 on Saturday, but Acadia bounced back on Sunday afternoon, playing to a 97-70 victory.
