(ANTIGONISH, N.S.) On a record-setting night for Allie Berry, the Acadia Axewomen rallied in the second half for an 84-63 victory over the StFX X-Women in Atlantic University Sport basketball action Wednesday on Coach K Court at Oland Centre. The fifth-year senior forward became the all-time leading rebounder in Axewomen program history, with 668, surpassing former Acadia standout Abbey Duinker (660). Berry posted a game-high 28 points in the victory, adding 13 rebounds. For the X-Women, Kimberly Kingsbury led her team with 12 points, seven assists and five rebounds on the night. Read more: Recap

(SYDNEY, N.S.) The UNB Varsity Reds earned a 90-83 overtime victory over the Cape Breton University Capers in Sydney Friday night. Mikaela Dodig led the Varsity Reds with a team-high 21 points, adding five rebounds and five assists, while Alison Keough led the Capers with a game-high 30 points, adding 13 rebounds and six assists in the loss. (CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I.) The veteran savvy of Kiera Rigby was felt in final minutes of the fourth quarter, where she scored seven of her game-high 26 points to hold off the Saint Mary's Huskies 68-64 Friday evening. Rigby finished with a game-high 26 points and added three rebounds in the Panthers win, while Katrina Murrell finished with a team-high 16 points for the Huskies, assing 11 rebounds and two assists. Memorial 53 vs. Dalhousie 60 (Box Score)
(HALIFAX, N.S.) In the first day of a back-to-back set, the Dalhousie Tigers hosted the Memorial Sea-Hawks Friday evening at the Dalplex. After a tight first half, the Tigers put together a run in the third quarter that they were able to hold on to as they took the 60-53 victory. Memorial 76 vs. Dalhousie 65 (Box Score)
(HALIFAX, N.S.) In game two of a back to back set, the Dalhousie Tigers hosted the Memorial Sea-Hawks in Saturday afternoon action. In a very physical contest, a strong defensive second quarter pushed the Sea-Hawks in front and they were able to hang on to claim the 76-65 win. Haille Nickerson finished with a game-high 25 points and seven rebounds to earn the Subway Player of the Game title for the Sea-Hawks, while Sophie Gaube finished with 15 points to lead the Tigers in scoring. UNB 63 vs. Cape Breton 87 (Box Score)
(SYDNEY, N.S.) The Cape Breton University Capers used a strong 4th quarter to defeat the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds 87-63 in AUS action Saturday afternoon. Alison Keough and Toni Bianchini were Cape Breton's top performers, finishing with 21 and 16 points, respectively, while Keough added an impressive 17 rebounds. (WOLFVILLE, N.S.) In front of a near capacity crowd at Acadia's War Memorial Gymnasium, the U SPORTS No. 1 ranked Acadia Axewomen improved to 10-0 with a convincing 89-42 win over the StFX X-Women. Chanel Smith led the Axewomen in scoring with a game-high 22 points, adding six rebounds, four assists, and five steals, while Paloma Anderson and Haley McDonald added 15 points each. (CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I.) The Saint Mary's Huskies' defence was impenetrable Saturday night, as they held the UPEI Panthers to just 28.3 per cent shooting in a 76-56 win in Charlottetown.
