The Axewomen delivered a barrage of points in the second half for the win. Paloma Anderson scored a game-high 28 points in the Acadia win, while Samatha Minicucci led the X-Women in points with 13. (SYDNEY, N.S.) The Cape Breton University Capers had their home opener spoiled by the Saint Mary's Huskies, losing by a score of 67-62. Jada Yeo (Cornwall, PE) led the way for the Huskies with a team-high 17 points, while Hannah Brown scored a game-high 21 points and added 10 rebounds, giving her a double-double for Cape Breton. (CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I.) The Panthers offence sparked and caught fire in the third quarter en route to a 73-57 win over the UNB Varsity Reds Saturday night. (ANTIGONISH, N.S.) The U SPORTS No. 2 ranked Acadia Axewomen remained undefeated on the AUS season with a convincing 87-52 victory over the StFX X-Women Saturday night at the StFX Oland Centre.
