Forward Kim Taylor of the StFX X-Women basketball team is the Wilsons Security Defensive Player of the Week.

A fourth-year aquatic resources student in her third year of eligibility from Toronto, Ont., Taylor currently leads the X-Women in rebounds, averaging 6.3 per game.

In StFX's hard-fought 50-46 loss to the top-ranked Cape Breton Capers, Taylor posted a team-high 10 rebounds, including seven defensive rebounds for the X-Women. She also added six points and an assist. 

In Saturday's 68-56 win over the UPEI Panthers, Taylor had a game-high 12 rebounds, which included eight defensive rebounds. She also had two blocks and a steal for the X-Women defence, along with three points and three assists on offence.

StFX will next see action this weekend when they travel to Newfoundland for two games versus the Memorial Sea-Hawks. The X-Women play Saturday at 6 p.m. NST and Sunday at noon.
