AUS Women's Basketball Round Up: Week 4

StFX 46 at Cape Breton 80 (Box Score)

The Capers downed the X-Women 80-46 at home Wednesday. Alison Keough led the Cape Breton squad with 28 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and two assists in the win. Chelsea Provo led the X-Women with 15 points in the loss.

Thursday, Nov. 24

Dalhousie 66 at Acadia 87 (Box Score)

The Axewomen earned an 87-66 victory Thursday over the Dalhousie Tigers. Reigning AUS MVP Paloma Anderson had 30 points in the win for Acadia. Sophie Gaube led the Tigers with 26 points and six rebounds in the loss.

Memorial 73 at UPEI 79 (Box Score)

The UPEI Panthers earned a 79-73 win at home Saturday over the Memorial Sea-Hawks. Jane McLaughlin led the Panthers with 19 points and nine rebounds in the win. Jenna Mae Ellsworth and Kiera Rigby added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Sydney Stewart led the Sea-Hawks' scoring effort with 17 points.

Dalhousie 47 at UNB 51 (Box Score)

The UNB Varsity Reds earned a hard-fought 51-47 win over the Dalhousie Tigers Saturday in Fredericton. Katelyn Mangold earned Subway Player of the Game honours after posting 10 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in the win. Teammate Hannah Currie added 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Saint Mary's 60 at StFX 42 (Box Score)

The undefeated Saint Mary's Huskies (7-0) wrapped up fall semester play with a 60-42 win over the StFX X-Women Saturday. Shanieka Wood had 11 points, seven rebounds, three blocks and one assist for the Huskies and earned Subway Player of the Game honours. Kennisha-Shanice Luberisse had 11 points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals, while Angelina Carvery added 12 points, four rebounds and three steals.

Holly Scott led the X-Women with 10 points and six rebounds, while Chelsea Provo added nine points and seven rebounds in the loss.

Sunday, Nov. 27

Memorial 47 at UPEI 45 (Box Score)

The Memorial Sea-Hawks topped the UPEI Panthers 47-45 Sunday in Charlottetown. Sydney Steward led the Sea-Hawks with 15 points, six rebounds and seven steals in the win. 

The Panthers were led by freshman Carolina Del Santo who had 14 points and 18 rebounds in the loss.
