(ST. JOHN'S, N.L.) - The Dalhousie Tigers ended the Memorial Sea-Hawks AUS men's volleyball season with a 3-0 win on Sunday in St. John's.

Set scores were 25-20, 25-22 and 27-25.

While the first-place Dalhousie Tigers took the second game of the weekend in three straight sets, the Sea-Hawks continued to show a valiant effort.

The second set saw both teams within two points of each other the entire way. Once tied at 22 points, the Tigers pulled ahead by three points when it really counted.

The last set was again neck and neck, but two back-to-back errors from the Sea-Hawks and a kill by Dalhousie's Justin Lynch (Mt. Uniackie, N.S.) took the set 27-25.

The Subway player of the game was fourth-year outside hitter Alexander Dempsey (Halifax, N.S.). Dempsey had 11 kills in the win and three service aces. Senior Bryan Duquette (St. Thomas, Ont.) added 10 kills and 11 digs for the Tigers.

Left side Sam Burt (Waverley, N.S.) led the Sea-Hawks with 11 kills. The six-foot-eight Cody Harvey (Logy Bay, N.L.) provided seven kills, and three solo blocks in the loss.

Memorial fifth-year's Brad Jolliffe and Kendal Schmidt played their last games as Sea-Hawks. The team finished the season winless with a record of 0-17.

Dalhousie improved their record to 14-1 with the win.
