The Saint Mary's Huskies extended their win streak to four as they finished the weekend with a pair of wins over the Mount Allison Mounties and Acadia Axemen. In their home opener Saturday evening, the Huskies blanked the Mounties 2-0 with Alex Black earning credit for both tallies.
The Huskies then visited the Acadia Axemen in Wolfville Sunday afternoon, playing to a 3-1 win. Black, Neil Spires and Tyler Dorey got on the board for the Huskies, while Ben Chisholm scored the lone goal for the Axemen.
The UPEI Panthers and Axemen kicked off the weekend action on Friday, with the Panthers earning the 2-1 win. Goals in the game came from UPEI's Mohammad Jaber and Sam Smiley, while Alec MacKenzie got on the board for the Axemen.
The Cape Breton Capers hosted the Dalhousie Tigers Saturday evening, playing to a 0-0 draw. However, the Capers bounced back on Sunday afternoon, earning a huge 5-0 shutout win over the Mounties, with all five goals coming from different Capers. Osat Ibie, Caelan Budhoo, Cory Bent, Jesse MacIntyre and Daniel Williams all put one in the back of the net for Cape Breton.
The Memorial Sea-Hawks earned two ties on the weekend, setting to a 0-0 draw against the UNB Reds Saturday, and playing to a 2-2 tie with the Universite de Moncton Aigle Bleus Sunday arternoon. Goals from the Sea-Hawks came from Jacob Grant and Kyle Williams, with Adrien Nagy getting on the board twice for the Aigles Bleus.
The Reds hosted the UPEI Panthers Sunday, blanking them 3-0 with goals coming from Joe Hamilton, Dan Walker and Tristan Nkoghe.
The StFX X-Men finished off their weekend with a win in Halifax over the Tigers, with Dan Hayfield earning the lone goal.
