X-Men extend win streak to four to climb standings

The StFX X-Men earned a sweep over the weekend, extending their win streak to four to rise up the AUS men's hockey standings. The X-Men earned a 5-3 win over the Dalhousie Tigers on Wednesday night, then topped the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleus 5-4 in a shootout on Friday evening. The only successful shootout participant Adam Stevens was awarded first star of the evening and Subway player of the game for his game-winning goal performance.  

The Saint Mary's Huskies also earned a weekend sweep, earning a convincing 6-1 victory over the UPEI Panthers on Friday evening, the handing the UNB Reds their first loss of the season with a 2-1 overtime win on Saturday. 

Despite their loss to the Huskies on Saturday, the Reds proved why they are at the top of the AUS standings as they blanked the Acadia Axemen 7-0 on Friday, to split their weekend games.

In more Saturday night action, the Aigles Bleus topped the Tigers 6-2, while the Panthers earned an 8-3 win over the Axemen.
