UPEI 4 vs. Moncton 6 (Box Score)
(MONCTON, N.B.) In a game that had no shortage of powerplay goals, the Moncton Aigles Bleus earned a 6-4 victory at home versus the UPEI Panthers Wednesday night. UPEI's Brent Andrews opened the scoring early in the first period to give the Panthers a 1-0 edge. Goals from Moncton's Vincent Deslauriers and Mitchell Robillard later in the first gave the aigles Bleus a 2-1 lead heading into the second. The second frame saw five powerplay tallies, coming from Moncton's Jean-Francois Plante, Marc-Anthony Therrie and Mitchell Robillard, and UPEI's Ryan MacKinnon and Gabe Geurtler, allowing the Aigles Bleus to remain ahead by two heading into the final period. A goal from Panthers' Marcus Power late in the third put UPEI within one but it was not enough as a empty net tally from Vincent Deslauriers sealed the 6-4 win for Moncton.
