Moncton 4 at Saint Mary's 3 OT (Box Score)
The visiting Moncton Aigles Bleus earned a 4-3 overtime win over the Saint Mary's Huskies Wednesday in Halifax. Jean-François Plante and Steve Lebel (on the power play) scored a goal apiece for Moncton in the opening period. The second period was scoreless.
In the final frame, the Huskies responded with goals of their own--two from Ben Duffy and one from Connor McGlynn. But another marker from Moncton's Plante would force the overtime period. Mitchell Robillard was the overtime hero for the Aigles Bleus.

Friday, Oct. 28
Dalhousie 4 at UNB 5 SHOOTOUT (Box Score)
The UNB Varsity Reds claimed a 5-4 win at home in a shootout over the Dalhousie Tigers. Colton Parsons (on the power play) and Kelly Bent opened the scoring for the Tigers in the first period. Jordan Murray answered for UNB.
Myles McGurty and Jesse Lussier added to Dalhousie's lead with a goal apiece in the second frame--both scored on the power play. But UNB's Philippe Maillet would force overtime after managing a hat trick in the final frame. He scored two goals on the power play and his third at even strength with under a minute remaining in regulation. After a scoreless overtime period, the Varsity Reds won in the shootout thanks to goals from Cameron Brace and another from Maillet.

Saint Mary's 3 at Acadia 8 (Box Score)
The Acadia Axemen earned an 8-3 win at home Friday over the Saint Mary's Huskies. After a scoreless first period, Bronson Beaton opened the scoring for Saint Mary's in the second frame. But the Axemen responded with five unanswered goals to close out the period.
In the final frame, the Huskies chipped away at the Acadia lead with two goals of their own. But the home team secured the win with three more goals from Boston Leier, Sam Fioretti (his second) and Kyle Farrell (his second).

StFX 2 at UPEI 1 (Box Score)
The StFX X-Men earned a 2-1 win on the road in Charlottetown over the UPEI Panthers. StFX's Brent Turnbull and UPEI's Cody Payne exchanged goals in the opening frame.
Bryson Cianfrone scored the game winner for the X-Men in the second period. The third period was scoreless.

StFX 0 at UNB 6 (Box Score)
The UNB Varsity Reds earned a 6-0 shutout over the StFX X-Men in Fredericton Saturday. Rob Mignardi and Cam Braes scored two goals apiece in the win. Matt Boudens and Marcus McIvor added a goal apiece to UNB's tally. Braes, Mignardi and Matt Petgrave were named the three stars of the game.

Acadia 5 at Moncton 3 (Box Score)
The Axemen earned their second win of the weekend Saturday with a 5-3 victory over the Aigles Bleus in Moncton. Moncton's Pierre Durepos and Acadia's Boston Leier exchanged goals in the first period.
Sam Fioretti and Stephen Harper added to Acadia's lead in the second frame. Jean-François Plante responded for Moncton. In the third period, Alex Saulnier tied things up for the Aigles Bleus. But two power play goals from Acadia's Brett Thompson would secure the Axemen victory.

Dalhousie 0 at UPEI 1 (Box Score)
The UPEI Panthers earned a 1-0 win at home Saturday as they played host to the Dalhousie Tigers. UPEI's RT Rice scored the game winner, unassisted, in the second period.
