Friday, November 20

UNB 5 at StFX 6 (Box Score)

The StFX X-Men hosted the UNB Varsity Reds in Antigonish on Friday night. Just over a minute into the first period, the Varsity Reds were onto the board with a goal from sophomore forward Christopher Caissy to put UNB ahead by one. However, three goals from StFX in the opening frame allowed the X-Men to hold a 3-1 edge heading into the second. Goals in the first period came from the X-Men sophomore forward Adam Stevens, fourth-year forward Brad Cuzner, and freshman forward Nathan Pancel. Just 32 seconds into the second frame, a power-play goal from UNB fourth-year forward Rob Mignardi cut the X-Men lead to one. A goal at 11:05 in the same frame from Varsity Reds fourth-year forward Cam Critchlow tied the game at 3-3. However, two power-play goals from X-Men forward Adam Stevens and freshman forward Michael Clarke allowed the X-Men to regain the lead, having a 5-3 edge heading into the final frame. Just 20 seconds into the third, UNB sophomore forward Cameron Brace put the Varsity Reds within one, until a goal from StFX sophomore forward Eric Locke at 06:40 allowed the X-Men to regain their two goal lead. At 08:44 in the third, UNB sophomore forward Francis Beauvillier put the Varsity Reds within one, but it would not be enough as StFX held on for a 6-5 victory over UNB.

Saint Mary's 1 at St. Thomas 2 SO (Box Score)

The Saint Mary's Huskies travelled to Fredericton on Friday night to take on the St. Thomas Tommies. The Tommies were the first on the board with an early goal from freshman forward Anthony Latina just over a minute into the first period. The Huskies quickly tied things up at 1-1 with a goal from third-year defenceman Alex Cord just under five minutes into the same frame. A scoreless second and third period forced the into overtime. With a scoreless extra frame, the game headed into a shootout, with Anthony Latina scoring for the Tommies, earning the 2-1 victory over the Huskies.

Acadia 4 at Moncton 3 (Box Score)

The Moncton Aigles Bleus hosted the Acadia Axemen on Friday evening. The Aigles Bleus opened the scoring with a goal from fourth-year forward Danny Chiasson to take a 1-0 edge heading into the second. In the second period, Moncton fourth-year forward Alex Emond put the Aigles Bleus ahead by two, until a goal at 14:41 from Acadia sophomore forward Zachery Franko cut the Aigles Bleus lead to one. A Moncton goal just under a minute later from third-year forward Alex Saulnier allowed the Aigles Bleus to hold a 3-1 lead after two. Three minutes into the final frame, a power-play goal from Acadia fourth-year forward Brett Thompson cut the Aigles Bleus lead to one. A goal from Axemen sophomore forward Boston Leier at 14:25 tied the game at 3-3 as Acadia looked for the come back. With just over a minute left in regulation, a power-play goal from Acadia freshman forward Kyle Farrell gave the Axemen their first lead of the game, as they held on for a 4-3 victory over the Aigles Bleus.

UPEI 3 at Dalhousie 6 (Box Score)

The Dalhousie Tigers hosted the UPEI Panthers at the Halifax Forum on Friday night. The first period saw continous action with a total of six goals scored in the opening frame. The Tigers opened the scoring with a goal at 07:39 from sophomore forward Tanner Williams. A power-play goal from UPEI third-year defenceman Brock Buekeboom tied the game at 1-1. Three back-to-back Dalhousie power-play goals allowed the Tigers to take a 4-1 lead only 15 minutes into the game. Power-play goals from the Tigers came from freshman forward Felix Page, freshman forward Phil Gadoury, and sophomore forward JP Harvey. With one minute left in the opening frame, a power-play goal from UPEI freshman defenceman Ryan MacKinnon put the Panthers within two. At 05:29 into the second period, a goal from Tigers Phil Gadoury and his second of the game gave Dalhousie the three goal edge. A goal from UPEI freshman defenceman Guillaume Rioux-Legault at 07:21 in the final frame put the Panthers back within two, but it would not be enough as a short-handed goal from Tigers Phil Gadoury and his third of the game allowed Dalhousie to earn the 6-3 victory over UPEI.

Saturday, November 21

UNB 5 at Dalhousie 1 (Box Score)

The UNB Varsity Reds travelled to Halifax to face the Dalhousie Tigers on Saturday night. After a scoreless first period, the Varsity Reds were the first onto the board with a power-play goal from UNB sophomore forward Cameron Brace, followed by goals from teammates Rob Mignardi and Matt Petgrave to take a 3-0 lead heading into the third period. At 03:34 into the final frame, UNB's Cameron Brace scored his second of the game, while teammate Alex Wall gave the Varsity Reds the five goal lead. A power-play goal from Tigers freshman forward Daniel Walsh with just under nine minutes left in regulation put Dalhousie on the board, but it would not be enough as the UNB cruised to a 5-1 victory over Dalhousie.

Acadia 12 at St. Thomas 2 (Box Score)

The Acadia Axemen travelled to Fredericton to take on the St. Thomas Tommies on Saturday night. The Axemen cruised to a 12-2 victory after soaring ahead in the first period with four goals in nine minutes. Acadia's first period goals came from fourth-year forward Brett Thompson, sophomore forward Zachery Franko, fourth-year forward Mike Cazzola, and a short-handed goal from fourth-year forward Travis Randell. St. Thomas opened the scoring in the second frame with a goal from sophomore forward Rankyn Campbell, but was followed by five Axemen goals. Axemen goals in the second came from Remy Giftopolous, Michael Clarke, Daniel Pettersson, Mike Cazzole, and a power-play goal from Brett Thompson. At 19:16 in the second period, Eric Diodati scored the Tommies second goal of the game, with Acadia holding a 9-2 edge heading into the final frame. Three Axemen goals in the third coming from Dylan Anderson, Boston Leier, and Zachery Franko gave Acadia the 12-2 victory over St. Thomas.

Saint Mary's 3 at Moncton 2 OT (Box Score)

The Saint Mary's Huskies visited the Moncton Aigles Bleus on Saturday night. The Aigles Bleus opened the scoring in the first with a goal from fourth-year forward Alex Noel to put Moncton ahead by one. At 14:24 in the first, a power-play goal from Saint Mary's fourth-year defenceman Kyle Pereira tied the game at 1-1 heading into the second. A goal from Huskies sophomore forward Michael Curtis at 13:54 in the second frame gave Saint Mary's the 2-1 lead heading into the final frame. A short-handed goal from Moncton third-year defenceman Pierre Durepos was the lone goal of the third, tying the game at 2-2, forcing overtime. Just over two minutes into the extra frame, a goal from Huskies third-year defenceman Alex Cord allowed Saint Mary's to earn the 3-2 victory over Moncton.

UPEI 2 at StFX 1 (Box Score)

On Saturday night, the UPEI Panthers travelled to Antigonish to face the StFX X-Men. Early into the opening frame, a goal from UPEI sophomore forward Brent Andrews allowed the Panthers to take a 1-0 lead heading into the second period. At 09:10 into the second frame, a tally from UPEI sophomore forward Nick Parker put the Panthers ahead by two. The lone goal of the third period came from StFX fourth-year forward Steven Kuhn, but it would not be enough as the Panthers held on to a 2-1 victory.
