Axemen, Tigers, and Huskies sweep weekend games

As the push for the playoffs begins, the Acadia Axemen, Dalhousie Tigers, and Saint Mary's Huskies all swept their weekend games, looking to secure their spots in the Subway AUS Men's Basketball Championships.

The Axemen are now on a three game winning streak, after blanking the Memorial Sea-Hawks in Wolfville this weekend. The Axemen topped the Sea-Hawks 66-54 on Saturday evening, then earned a 79-69 win on Sunday afternoon.

The Huskies remain undefeated this season, as they've extended their win streak to nine, with a 92-74 win over the UPEI Panthers on Friday, and a huge 100-60 victory over the Panthers on Saturday evening.

The UNB Reds and Cape Breton Capers split their games in Fredericton this weekend. The Reds topped the Capers with a 83-70 win on Friday evening, but the Capers bounced back to earn a 91-80 victory on Saturday night.
