AUS Men's Basketball Weekly Round Up: Week 4

Saint Mary's 59 vs. Dalhousie 70 (Box Score)
(HALIFAX, N.S.) In AUS men's basketball action at the Dalplex Tuesday, the Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Saint Mary's Huskies 70-59 in a game that saw things get close and interesting on several occasions. Sven Stammberger  led the Tigers with 23 points, adding 15 rebounds for a double double, while Subway Player of the Game Jordan Aquino-Serjue chipped in 12 points, seven assists, and five rebound for Dalhousie. The Huskies were led by Nikita Nasongo who had a game-high 27 points, along with five rebounds and four assists. Read more: Recap

StFX 80 vs. Acadia 78 (Box Score)
(HALIFAX, N.S.) The Acadia Axemen fell short to the StFX X-Men Friday night, as they were edged out 80-78 at the Scotiabank Centre in their first loss of the regular season. Davonte Provo posted 16 points for the X-Men, while teammates Tristen Ross and Julius Antoine added 11 and 10 points respectively. Memorial 55 vs. UNB 90 (Box Score)
(FREDERICTON, N.B.) The UNB Varsity Reds improved to 7-0 on the season with a 90-55 win over the Memorial University Sea-Hawks Saturday night. Will Legere earned Subway Player of the Game honours after scoring a game-high 23 points to lead the V-Reds. Javon Masters added 17 points, six rebounds, seven assists and five steals for UNB. Cape Breton 99 vs. StFX 108 (Box Score)
(ANTIGONISH, N.S.) The StFX X-Men won a key game worth four points in the AUS standings in a high scoring 108-99 victory over the Cape Breton Capers Saturday evening. Martin Ross led the X-Men in scoring with 23 points, while Dallas Walker scored 17 and hauled in 13 rebounds for a double-double night. Martin Campbell had a big game with a game-high 40 points and eight rebounds for the Capers. Read more: Recap

Acadia 88 vs. UPEI 78 (Box Score)
(CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I.) The Acadia Axemen erased any chance of an upset Saturday night, as they outscored the Panthers 29-13 in a dominant third quarter en route to an 88-78 win. Erik Nissen led the Axemen with 21 points, while teammate Ben Miller added 13 rebounds and seven assists in the win. UPEI was led by Samy Mohamed who had 18 points in the loss. Read more: Recap

Memorial 105 vs. UNB 92 (Box Score)
The Memorial Sea-Hawks handed the UNB Varsity Reds their first loss of the season in AUS men's basketball action Sunday afternoon. Memorial scored 62 second half points, on route to a 105-92 victory. Subway Player of the Game Davion Parnsalu scored a game-high 27 points to lead Memorial, adding 10 rebounds, recording the double-double. Javon Masters led the Varsity Reds, scoring 25 points and adding four assists in the loss.
