Kenny Jean-Louis of the Cape Breton Capers men's basketball team is the Wilsons Security Defensive Player of the Week.

A fourth-year education student from Montreal, Que., Jean-Louis leads the Capers in defensive rebounds this season, averaging 6.3 per game. 

He posted a team-high eight defensive rebounds in Cape Breton's two weekend games versus the Acadia Axemen.

Jean-Louis has led a struggling Capers squad all season long. Though the team remains winless so far this season, Jean-Louis currently leads the Atlantic conference in scoring, averaging 20.4 points per game. 

He posted a career-high 31 points this past Saturday against Acadia. He also managed a double-double by adding 10 rebounds. He was one rebound shy of a double-double in Friday night's game, posting 21 points and nine rebounds.

The Capers take to the court again next weekend when they travel to UNB Feb. 17 and UPEI Feb. 19.

They will wrap up the season the following weekend when they host the Saint Mary's Huskies for two games.
