The Memorial Sea-Hawks were able overturn a halftime deficit to beat the Dalhousie Tigers 75-73 in Sunday AUS action at Dalplex.

An evenly match first quarter had the SeaHawks up by one at the break. Emanuel Ring (St. John's NL) continued where he left off last night scoring 7 points in the first quarter. Nginyu Ngala (Montreal, QC) drained both is baskets in addition to one from beyond the arc to have a slight lead in what was an otherwise balanced first quarter from the Tigers.

The Sea-Hawks struggled in the second quarter, only seeing nine points drop for them in comparison to the Tigers 20. Joshua Koulamallah (Gatineau, QC) and Ben Shoveller (Arnprior, ON) each had five points for the Tigers while Alex Ruiz (Valencia, Spain) pulled in three rebounds. The Tigers headed to the locker room with a strong 42-33 lead at the half.

Boris Ristanovic (Kragujevac, Serbia) came out of the locker room a changed man, draining all of his shots from the field and one of his two rebounds accounting for 7 of the SeaHawks 25 points. The Tigers could not match their pace despite Samuel Maillet (Moncton, NB) playing all 10 minutes of the quarter.

After Cameron Stanford (St. John's NL) gave Memorial the lead three minutes into the final frame, the Tigers could not claw it back falling to the Sea-Hawks 75-73.

Koulamallah had a team high 15 points for the Tigers in the loss. Maillet pulled down 9 rebounds and added a steal.

Ristanovic was named the Subway Player of the Game for his team high 20 points.

The Tigers head on the road next weekend to play the STFX X-Men and the Cape Breton Capers. Memorial have the weekend off next weekend then return to Halifax on Jan. 20 to face the Saint Mary's Huskies.
