The Memorial Sea-Hawks were able to fend off a feisty Dalhousie Tigers squad by a final score of 101-90 at the MUN Fieldhouse in St. John's, Newfoundland.

There wasn't much separating the two sides in the first half, with both teams competing hard on the defensive end, limiting easy points at the basket. At the end of the first half, the Sea-Hawks held a one-point lead, 44-43.

However, in the second half the Sea-Hawks would come out firing, especially from the 3-pt line. The home team finished the game 12/25 (48.0%) from 3-pt range while the Tigers were 9/19 (47.4%) from the land beyond. The Sea-Hawks would close the game with a 30 point 4th quarter, thanks in large part to both Nicholas Tuff and Emmanuel Ring.

Nicholas Tuff was on point from the 3-pt range for the Sea-Hawks, finishing the game with 32 points thanks to seven made threes on just 10 attempts. Tuff also finished the game with 10 rebounds, completing the double-double and finishing as the Subway AUS Player of the Game. AUS leading scorer Emmanuel Ring also did his thing on the court, finishing with a game-high 33 points on an efficient 13/21 shooting from the field. Ring also added nine rebounds and five assists to the Sea-Hawks cause, and also threw down two electrifying dunks as the game winded down. Despite not putting up a ton of point production (five points), Flynn Boardman-Raffet made his presence felt in other ways, finishing with a game-high 13 assists and eight rebounds.

For the visiting Tigers, guard Nginyu Ngala was the main standout on the offensive end, putting up a team-high 22 points on 7/16 shooting from the field. Shamar Burrows was also all over the court for the Tigers, dropping 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Samuel Maillet was a force on both ends for the visitors, producing 10 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals, giving it his all on both ends of the court.
