(HALIFAX, N.S.) – Forward Corneila Geib (Calgary, AB) was the hero on Saturday night as the UPEI Panthers defeated the Dalhousie Tigers 3-2 in overtime at the Halifax Forum.

The two teams combined for 71 shots in a game that saw the Panthers come back from two separate one-goal deficits.

Dalhousie's two goals came courtesy of Victoria MacIntosh (Hammonds Plains, NS) in the first period and Laura Brooks (Acton, ON) in the second frame.

The Panthers responded with two tallies from Alisha MacDonald (Summerside, PEI) – one in the second period and one in the third – to take the game to overtime, before Geib completecd the comeback at 3:03 of the extra session.

UPEI improved to 2-0-0 in the win while the Tigers fell to 0-0-1. The next action for the Panthers goes on Friday as they host St. Thomas at 7:00 while Dalhousie welcomes Moncton in an afternoon affair on Saturday.
