Sea-Hawks Score 3-1 Victory Over Moncton

MONCTON – Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (9-10=18pts, 4th position) fought hard in the third set, but they were defeated 3-0 by the Memorial University Sea-Hawks (13-6=26pts, 2nd position), Saturday in an Atlantic University Sport women volleyball game, at the CEPS in Moncton. 

The Blue and Gold will host the same team, Sunday at 1 p.m., in the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium for the last 2016-2017 regular season game. Catherine Guitard, Judith Desjardins and Rachelle Lemoine, five seasons and Alyssa Turenne, four, will be recognized before the game for their years with the Aigles Bleues program.   

Sea-Hawks won 25-12, 25-16, and 27-25 in a hard-fought last set.  

Moncton and Memorial are both guaranteed a spot in the AUS volleyball championship tournament to be played in Halifax and hosted by Saint Mary's University Huskies, March 3-4.
