WOLFVILLE, N.S. - For the second game in a row and fourth game of the season, rookie forward Kyle Farrell (Howie Center, N.S.) is the hero in Wolfville, scoring a 6-5 overtime winner against the visiting UPEI Panthers.

Eighteen seconds into the overtime period, Farrell caught the top corner of Mavric Park's (Eganville, Ont.) glove hand side for the game winner. Farrell scored last night's overtime winner against the CIS No. 1 ranked UNB Varsity Reds.

Brock Beukeboom (Port Penny, Ont.) opened the game with a powerplay goal to give the Panthers an early 1-0 win. Acadia responded just over a minute later at 5:38 when second year forward Remy Giftopoulos (Ancaster, Ont.) scored his first goal of the season on a feed from Zachery Franko (Winnipeg, Man.). Giftopoulus one timed the pass from high at the right wing circle to tie the game at one.

Acadia's only lead came at 17:06 of the first period when Mike Cazzola (Guelph, Ont.) scored his six goal of the season to give the Axemen a 2-1 advantage.

Shorthanded at 9:20 of the second frame, UPEI tied the game on a mistaken feed from a puck retrieving Brandon Glover (Victoria, B.C.) who coughed up the puck to Panther Mason Wilgosh (Winnipeg, Man.) for an open net goal.

Just over two minutes later, on the powerplay, the Panthers slid into a 3-2 lead after pass from Matthew Pufahl (Saskatoon, Sask.) across ice that was intended to teammate Stephen Woodworth (Middleton, N.S.) was pulled down by Chad Labelle (Calgary, Alta.) who then proceeded in scoring on a surprised Glover.

Acadia's Woodworth scored his second goal of the season from the high slot on a feed from Boston Leier (Saskatoon, Sask.) four minutes into the final frame to tie the game at three.

Wilgosh netted his second goal just over the halfway point of the third period after Glover was dragged out of the net in a scramble to give UPEI a 4-3 lead. At 14:04, rookie defenseman Brett Cote (Oakbank, Man.) scored his first goal of the season beating Parks high on the glove hand side off of a pass to his backhand from Daniel Pettersson (Toronto, Ont.).

Tied at four, UPEI's Nelson Armstrong (Peterborough, Ont.) scored the go-ahead goal with under a minute remaining in the third period on a shot from the point that caught the top shelf on a screened Glover.

With 18 seconds remaining in the game, Mike Cazzola scored his second goal of the game on a scramble in the blue paint to force the game into overtime. Farrell's goal 18 seconds into extended time gave the Axemen their second overtime win in two days.

The Axemen improve to 8-2-1 and trail StFX and UNB, who are tied for first place, by one point in the AUS standings, while the Panthers drop to 5-5-1 and sit in sixth place.
