(St. John's, NL) – The Memorial Sea-Hawks and the UPEI Panthers played to a 0-0 draw for the second straight day in AUS Men's soccer action.

The first half of the game was slow with the first attempt on goal coming in the 17th minute from UPEI's Donovan Wyand (Mayfield, PE). Wyand couldn't beat Memorial's keeper Sam Hawco (Mount Pearl, NL) who was tested only once in the first 45 minutes. Memorial also only had one attempt on goal during the first half coming from Ronaldo Morris (Mount Pearl, NL) in the 42nd minute. Morris was unable to get the ball past UPEI's keeper Brett Strba (Fall River, NS). UPEI conceded 11 fouls in the first half, with Memorial giving away only 5.

The second half looked like an entirely new game. Both teams turned up the intensity and found more opportunities on net. In the 47th minute Fomba Fambullah (St. John's, NL) cut inside and took a top corner shot, but Brett Strba made an equally impressive diving save. Shortly following Fambullah's attempt on goal, Ronaldo Morris fired another shot across the keeper Strba, but was unable to convert. UPEI fought back hard, and in the 73rd minute Wyand took a shot that was just tipped wide by Memorial keeper Sam Hawco. Mo San Aung (Charlottetown, PE) kept the heat high coming and headed the ball just wide of Hawco's net off a corner. UPEI continued fighting for a goal and in the 86th minute Neil Harte (Warman, SK) took a shot that couldn't beat Memorial's keeper. The pressure was building, and in the 90th minute Mo San Aung headed the ball past Memorial's keeper but defenseman Riley Bennet (Mount Pearl, NL) saved the day with a goal line clearance.

Although the game ended in a scoreless draw, both teams created good chances and delivered an entertaining match. Owen McAleese (St. John's, NL) was named Subway Player of the Game from the Sea-Hawks. McAleese was a solid presence in the Sea-Hawks midfield.

The Sea-Hawks are heading to New Brunswick to play Mount Allison on Saturday, and Nova Scotia to play Acadia on Sunday. All games are televised live on AUStv.ca.
