The Dalhousie Tigers took down the St. Thomas Tommies 5-1 on Saturday night in AUS men's hockey action at the Halifax Forum. Phil Gadoury led the Tigers with a hat trick and an assist on Halloween night.

The two sides traded goals in the first period with Jackson Playfair getting on the board first for the Tigers half way through the opening period. Colin Martin tied things up for the Tommies with one minutes to go in the period.

After one period of play the game was tied a 1-1.

The Tigers cranked up the pressure in the second frame netting 3 goals. Gadoury got things going knocking home a loose puck in front of the Tommies cage.

Matt English stretched the Tigers lead to two on a blast from the point that just trickled over the goal line.

Gadoury would add one more before the end of the period. The Dalhousie forward utilized his speed to track down a loose puck and chipped it over Tommies goalie, Tyson Teichmann.

The Tigers took a 4-1 lead into the dressing room after 40 minutes of play.

The third period went scoreless until Gadoury capped off the hat trick with an empty net goal with 24 seconds left.

Dalhousie's (2-4-1) next action comes on Wednesday, November 4th when they travel to Acadia (4-1-1). St. Thomas (0-7) is also in action on Wednesday as they take on UNB(5-0-1).
