(Halifax, N.S.) On Saturday night at the Halifax Forum the UdeM Aigles Bleus picked up a crucial two-points with a 2-0 win over the Dalhousie Tigers in AUS men's hockey action. Heading into this one the Tigers trailed the Aigles Bleus for the final playoff spot by just two points.

UdeM goalie, Adrien Lemay was the difference maker in this game stopping 42 shots in his shutout performance.
The Aigles Bleus capitalized early on the man advantage. Tyler Noseworthy received a 10-minute misconduct for a hit to the head in the opening three minutes of the game. On the ensuing power play Jean-Francois Plante managed to get the puck past Corbin Boes from the side of the net giving UdeM the early 1-0 lead.
Plante's goal would hold for the remainder of the period as the Aigles Bleus took a 1-0 lead into the dressing room. The Tigers outshot UdeM 15-12 in the opening frame.
Dalhousie had a lengthy 5 on 3 power play in the second period but could not find the back of the net despite multiple chances. Lemay had a monster period in the UdeM cage making some highlight reel saves.
The Aigles Bleus carried a 1-0 lead into the third period.
Once again the Aigles Bleus made the Tigers pay for their undisciplined play. Victor Bleaulac ripped a shot from the point through traffic beating Boes and putting UdeM up 2-0 with 15 minutes remaining in the game.
Dalhousie pressed late with their season on the line put could not beat Lemay.
Both teams will be back in action on Wednesday, February 10th as the Tigers (8-14-4) will play Saint Mary's (15-8-2) while UdeM (11-13-2) will host UPEI (11-11-3). With two games left UdeM needs just one point to clinch the final playoff spot.
