Panthers put on an offensive clinic

Charlottetown, PE - The seventh place Panthers (5-9) hosted the third place UNB Varsity Reds (9-6) on Friday night in AUS Men's Basketball action. The Panthers were looking to bounce back after suffering two tough home losses the weekend before.
UPEI wasted little time taking it to the Reds as they were up 9 after one, but held only a one point lead going into half. After half the Panthers played their type of basketball as they outscored the Reds 54-40 in the second.
The Varsity Reds were lead by Hess Mayele with 18 points and 9 rebounds, and off the bench Donnavan HAstings with 19 points and 4 rebounds.
The Panthers were lead by captain Tyler Scott with 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Shavon Gayle also added 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.
The Subway player of the game from the Panthers was Dut Dut who had 13 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks in the game.
The Panthers will host the Varsity Reds again tomorrow Saturday, February 4th game time 8PM.
