MONCTON – Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (9-9=18pts, 4th position) were able to defeat Memorial University Sea-Hawks (12-6=24pts, 2nd position), 3-1, Friday in an Atlantic University Sport women volleyball game, at the CEPS in Moncton. 

The Blue and Gold host the same team for two more games, Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. in the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium. 

Moncton won 26-24, 25-20, 15-25 and 28-26. Subway player of the game was Rachelle Lemoine. 

Moncton and Memorial are both guaranteed a spot in the AUS volleyball championship tournament to be played in Halifax and hosted Saint Mary's University Huskies, March 3-4.
