(HALIFAX, N.S.) Cape Breton Capers women's soccer forward Ciera Disipio and Saint Mary's Huskies men's soccer forward Alex Black have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Ciera Disipio of the Cape Breton Capers women’s soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 21, 2018.
A fourth-year community studies student from Ottawa, Disipio scored seven points in two weekend wins this past weekend for the Capers.
Friday night, she scored two goals and was awarded Subway Player of the Game honours in Cape Breton’s 3-0 win over the StFX X-Women.
She added three goals and an assist Sunday in the Capers’ 8-2 win over the Mount Allison Mounties in Sackville, N.B. She was also named Subway Player of the Game for the second consecutive game.

Academic program: Bachelor of commerce
Alex Black of the Saint Mary’s Huskies men’s soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 21, 2018.
A third-year forward from Halifax, Black scored six goals and added an assist in the Huskies’ 11-2 win over the Mount Allison Mounties on Saturday. He was named Subway Player of the Game for his efforts.
Black also had an assist in Saint Mary’s 2-1 loss to the Moncton Aigles Bleus Friday night in Halifax for an eight-point weekend.
He now sits first in the Atlantic conference in goals, with 10, and in points, with 12.
