(HALIFAX, N.S.) Dalhouse Tigers track and field athletes Audley Cummings and Michelle Reddy have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Academic program: Therapeutic recreation
Michelle Reddy of the Dalhousie Tigers women’s track and field team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Feb. 25, 2018.
A fourth-year therapeutic recreation student from Halifax, Reddy was named the championship female athlete of the meet at the Subway AUS Track and Field Championships held this past weekend in Moncton, N.B.
She scored a total of 26 points (more than any other athlete at the meet), earning five gold medals for the Tigers in the 600m, 1000m and 1500m, 4x400m and 4x800m events.
Reddy set a new AUS record in the 1000m event and the Tigers women’s team captured their 29th consecutive championship title.

Audley Cummings of the Dalhousie Tigers men’s track and field team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Feb. 25, 2018.
A third-year environmental design student from Toronto, Cummings was named the championship male athlete of the meet at the Subway AUS Track and Field Championships held this past weekend in Moncton, N.B.
He earned three gold medals with wins in the heptathlon, long jump and as a member of the Tigers 4x200m relay team. He set a new AUS record in the heptathlon, winning four of the seven events. He was also fourth in the pole vault.
In addition being named athlete of the meet, Cummings also earned AUS male field athlete of the year honours.
