(HALIFAX, N.S.) Sarah Bujold of the StFX X-Women hockey team and Remy Giftopoulos of the Acadia Axemen hockey team have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Sarah Bujold of the U SPORTS no. 4-ranked St. Francis Xavier X-Women hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Jan. 7, 2018.
A fourth-year forward from Riverview, N.B., Bujold notched three goals and added an assist in two weekend wins on the road for the X-Women.
She started the weekend with a goal and an assist in Friday’s 6-3 win over the Moncton Aigles Bleues.
In Saturday’s 5-3 victory over the UPEI Panthers in Charlottetown, P.E.I., Bujold netted another two goals for StFX.

Remy Giftopoulos of the U SPORTS no. 6-ranked Acadia Axemen hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Jan. 7, 2018.
A fourth-year forward from Ancaster, Ont., Giftopoulos tallied three goals and an assist in two weekend wins for the Axemen.
He notched two goals and an assist Friday night as Acadia downed the Moncton Aigles Bleus 7-4 in Wolfville, N.S. He scored the first goal of the game for the Axemen and also notched the eventual game winner on the power play. He was named the third star of the game.
Saturday night in Halifax, Giftopoulos scored a go-ahead goal in the third period to put the Axemen up 2-1 in an eventual 4-2 win over the U SPORTS no. 7-ranked Saint Mary’s Huskies.
