(HALIFAX, N.S.) - UPEI Panthers women's rugby player Alysha Corrigan and UNB Varsity Reds men's soccer player Dan Walker have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Alysha Corrigan of the UPEI Panthers women’s rugby team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 15, 2017.
A fourth-year business student from Charlottetown, P.E.I., Corrigan scored 22 points in the Panthers’ 57-14 win over Saint Mary’s Thursday in Halifax, N.S.
She had two tries and six conversions, as well as numerous tackles on defence. With the win, the Panthers secured their spot in the 2017 AUS postseason. They will visit the Acadia Axewomen Friday, Oct. 20 in Wolfville in the Subway AUS Women’s Rugby Championship semifinal.

Dan Walker of the UNB Varsity Reds men’s soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 15, 2017.
A third-year kinesiology student from Fredericton, N.B., Walker scored three goals in two weekend wins for the Varsity Reds.
He scored his team’s third goal in UNB’s 3-1 win over the Aigles Bleus Saturday in Moncton, N.B. He then notched the first two goals of the game in the Varsity Reds’ 4-0 win at home over Mount Allison Sunday.
