(HALIFAX, N.S.) - Phoebe Lenderyou of the Dalhousie Tigers women's swim team and Bradley States of the UPEI Panthers men's basketball team have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Phoebe Lenderyou of the Dalhousie Tigers women’s swim team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Nov. 22, 2015.
A second-year management student from Newcastle, England, Lenderyou won six races at the Kemp-Fry Invitational Swim Meet this past weekend at Dalhousie.
She won and set new AUS records in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke events. She broke her previous record in the 100m backstroke by nearly two seconds, ranking her swim as the 32nd best time in world this year in that event.
Lenderyou is currently ranked first in the CIS in the 50m and 200m backstroke events and second in the 100m backstroke.
She also won the 50m butterfly this weekend and was part of the Tigers’ winning 400m medley and freestyle relays. Lenderyou hit CIS qualifying times in all of her events this weekend and led the Tigers to a first-place team finish at the meet.

Bradley States of the UPEI Panthers men’s basketball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Nov. 22, 2015.
The fourth-year forward from Bathurst, N.B. had a combined 49 points, 19 rebounds, seven steals, five assists and two blocks in two weekend wins for the Panthers versus the Cape Breton Capers.
In Friday night’s 90-75 win, States posted a double-double with 28 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, two assists and a block.
UPEI completed the weekend sweep Saturday with a 109-88 victory over Cape Breton. States put up 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block in that win for the Panthers.
He is currently leading the Atlantic conference in steals with 3.0 per game this season and is third in points per game with 20.8.
