Dalhousie's Robichaud and Moncton's Saulnier named Subway AUS Athletes of the Week

(HALIFAX, N.S.) - Sarah Robichaud of the Dalhousie Tigers women's hockey team and Alex Saulnier of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus men's hockey team have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Year of eligibility: Fifth
Academic program: Bachelor of sociology and French

Sarah Robichaud of the Dalhousie Tigers women’s hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 25, 2015.

A fifth-year sociology and French student from Weymouth, N.S., Robichaud posted five points in two games this past weekend.

The five-foot-five forward had four points in Saturday’s 5-3 win over the Mount Allison Mounties, scoring her first career hat trick – including the game winner and a short-handed insurance goal – and adding an assist in the victory.

In addition to her four-point performance on Saturday, Robichaud had an assist in Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to the Saint Mary’s Huskies.

Year of eligibility: Third
Academic program: MBA

Alex Saulnier of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus men’s hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 25, 2015.

The third-year forward from Cap Pelé, N.B. had five points in two weekend wins for the Aigles Bleus.

Saulnier notched two goals in Wednesday’s 4-2 victory over the UPEI Panthers. In Friday’s 4-1 win versus the St. Thomas Tommies, he posted a goal and two assists, including an assist on the game-winning goal.

Saulnier currently leads the conference in goals scored with five.
