(HALIFAX, N.S.) - Samantha Sweet of the UPEI women's hockey team and Cameron Walker of the StFX X-Men's basketball team have been named the Subway AUS athletes of the week for their respective performances for this past week.

Samantha Sweet of the UPEI Panthers women’s hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Nov. 30, 2014.
A fourth-year science student from O’Leary, P.E.I., Sweet scored a hat trick in the Panthers’ 4-2 victory over the Saint Mary’s Huskies Saturday.
She had a strong performance in Friday’s game versus the CIS No. 9-ranked StFX X-Women. However, UPEI ultimately suffered a 1-0 overtime loss in the matchup.

Cameron Walker of the StFX X-Men’s basketball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Nov. 30, 2014.
A second-year business student from Dallas, Texas, Walker managed two double-double this weekend as the X-Men posted a win and a loss.
In Saturday’s 82-77 win over the CIS No. 6-ranked UNB Varsity Reds, Walker scored 23 points and added 11 rebounds.
In Friday’s 107-90 loss to the UPEI Panthers, he scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds and two assists. He is currently second in team scoring, averaging 14.0 points per game.
