(HALIFAX, N.S.) - Ellen Chappell of the Dalhousie Tigers women's cross country team and Pier-Antoine Dion of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus' men's hockey team have been named the Subway AUS athletes of the week for their respective performances for this past week.

Ellen Chappell of the Dalhousie Tigers women’s cross country team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 12, 2014.
A fourth-year sustainability student from Calgary, Alta., Chappell was the first AUS finisher across the line at the StFX Invitational AUS-RSEQ interlock cross country meet Saturday in Antigonish.
In her fastest race of the season thus far, Chappell placed third with a time of 22:00.48, just 20 seconds behind the first-place finisher to lead the Tigers to a second-place team finish.

Pier-Antoine Dion of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus men’s hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 12, 2014.
A third-year business student from St-Christophe d’Arthabaska, Que., Dion scored two goals, including the game winner in overtime in the Aigles’ 6-5 victory over the St. Thomas Tommies Saturday night in Fredericton.
His first marker tied the game at 4-4. He received first star of the game honours for his efforts.
