PROFILE

Heading into his final year at Saint Mary's, offensive lineman Guillaume Gagnier looks to be the leader of the offensive unit. His game intensity and level of preparation make him a team leader and favorite.

The 6-foot-2, 275-lb native of Laval, Que., will hold his teammates accountable and ensure the squad builds on last year's momentum in the run game and pass protection.

"My goal for 2013 is to build on every game and to carry us through the post-season," says Gagnier.

Gagnier's efforts in 2011 and 2012 earned him a spot on the AUS all-star squad each year and he was also selected as the 2012 Saint Mary's Huskies lineman of the year.

Saint Mary's head coach Perry Marchese on Guillaume Gagnier:

"Guillaume is one of the most dedicated student-athletes I have had the pleasure of coaching."

"His focus on academics, efforts in the gym and on the football field make him a coach's dream."

"He is one of our team leaders and is passionate about making himself and the players around him better every day."
