Rugby: Acadia at StFX
In the 2016 Subway AUS Rugby Championship final, the undefeated StFX X-Women (6-0) host the defending champion Acadia Axewomen (4-2) in Antigonish.
Last season, the Axewomen snapped StFX's 17-year championship win streak and claimed Acadia's first-ever AUS rugby championships banner.
The stakes are high as both teams battle to reclaim the title and earn favourable seeding in the national championship being hosted by the University of Victoria in Victoria, B.C. Nov. 3 to 6.

Saturday, Oct. 29
Football: Acadia at Saint Mary's
Both the Acadia Axemen (1-6) and the Saint Mary's Huskies (2-5) find themselves in a win-or-go-home situation. The winner of this matchup will face the Mount Allison Mounties in the Subway AUS Football Semifinal Nov. 5 at 2 p.m.
The host of the semifinal matchup either be Mount Allison or Saint Mary's and will depend on the outcome of both of Saturday's games.
The Huskies can only secure hosting rights with a win over Acadia combined with a Mounties loss in their final regular season game versus StFX.
There is no scenario in which the Axemen will host a playoff game. An Acadia win would see them travel to Mount Allison for the semifinal game next weekend.

Football: Mount Allison at StFX
The StFX X-Men (6-1) have clinched first place in the AUS standings and will host the Nov. 12 Subway AUS Loney Bowl at Oland Stadium in Antigonish. It marks the first time the Atlantic conference final will be hosted by StFX since 1997.
The Mount Allison Mounties (3-4) have secured their spot in the Subway AUS Football Semifinal matchup next weekend. A win in Saturday's game will earn them the right to host the semifinal. Should they lose to the X-Men, the host of the first playoff matchup will hinge on the outcome of the Acadia vs. Saint Mary's game.
A Huskies win combined with a Mount Allison loss means the Mounties will be the visitors versus Saint Mary's in the semifinal. An Acadia win would see Mount Allison host the Axemen in semifinal matchup in Sackville, N.B.
